So, who thinks MoH will be dead after CoD released?

Just for conversiation...not implying anything...

It's a shame really... great but short SP campaign... getting into the MP now, didn't like it at first, and still plenty of issues, and a free mode and map pack coming soon... but really liking it especially with friends when were on comms and working as a team... but I can't help myself to think that onces CoD comes out, MoH will be pretty much history for all except either the diehard MoH fans and/or the diehard CoD haters... lol...

I've played and seen CoD MP at E3, and thou I hate all the bugs and cheats in the MP series... this one looks nice, especially the ability to make videos out of your footage, a big plus for a land and armor combat editor. ;)

Oh well... will enjoy MoH while it last.

Relax, I think this game will last a while.

Heck we have some games 10 years old and still a die hard few in servers. If I can ever find any LOL.

There's a lot of us just playing in the game in the background so the noise level is down on MOH but is full swing for COD because they're next up to release, then a few weeks after COD both will just be working on the player interactions.

Personally once people realize its not a choice between one or the other this noise on comparisons will go away. I for one intend to get on COD and play it as well.

Same here. Call of Duty is my favorite 'arcade' shooter title. Halo is great and all, but I prefer military shooters over sci-fi (with the exception of Star Wars: Battlefront I and II).

Side note: Mark - Get Call of Duty for the 360 so we can decimate the unwashed masses. :D

i too wish the single player was longer, however, EA (and affiliates) focused more on the story, graphics, weapons, etc; the things people bitch about. This kind of made up for the short play BUT made me want more.

I think it'll be around for a while. It fills a niche, right between MW2 and BFBC2. If I'm in the mood for something faster paced than BC2, I know I'll reach for MoH before I touch MW2. That's just me, but I think at least a fair amount of people feel the same.

I'll reserve my final judgment until I see how Black Ops plays. If they made progress on removing much of the cheese factor, it could really garner my attention.

After playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer I am a little disappointed in MoH since DICE did the Multiplayer on it. I do understand that it wasnt their game to make. They had to make it as they were told to make it. Someone else had the vision for the game we have. DICE had their hands tied on this one. I think they will make up for it though. I like the multiplayer but i do think it needs some work done. More maps (or just fix the ones we have some) more weapons, more attachments. I had hoped that the game would be more like BFBC2 but I guess we will have to wait on Battlefield 3 for anything like that.

I play COD to but Im getting tired of seeing everyone bash this game and claim that COD is SOOOO much better.... What about all the cheats and glitches that still plague those games?? Also what about Activision gouging that cash cow for every penny they can squeeze out of it? That alone has ruined a big part of COD for me. I dont have the money to pay 20 bucks everytime they release a map pack with one or two new maps and 2 older maps from a previous title. I hope EA doesnt do that with this franchise. Ive been with it from the start and would hate to get to where I cant stand to see the Medal of Honor title on anything

I'm way past the point in my life when I could only afford one game every few months. I also think the industry is to the point where it is possible for a person with family and a job to literally not have enough free time to play every good game that comes out. This is a GREAT problem to have, and it says a lot about how far we've come. Even as recently as five years ago there were big enough lag times between big releases that there were months-long periods of time when I didn't game at all. Now I could game every night if I wanted--which believe me, is very difficult to resist depending on the game.

Decades ago I had hundreds of games from the mall littering my room. Disks everywhere.

Now I only buy one or two games a YEAR and occasionally build a new computer to run it if necessary every few YEARS.

I am free and clear in my home and close to debt free but Games are at the very bottom of our budget items. Ammunition and Provisions is actually higher up on the list below the bills that must be paid.

No game is truly dead until you are totally finished with it. I lasted 6 weeks with MW2, about 4 months with BFBC2 and I am still working this one. BF3 has better be something good me thinks.

Heck if I dig deep enough in this room, I might see a Atari disk with a original battlezone tank game in mono green/black.

I've really gotten into the multiplayer in MoH, enough that I haven't even touched single player lol. I don't think Black Ops will be able to pull me away from this. Do I find myself yelling "BULLSHIT," absolutely. It's gonna' happen ;) But I still haven't seen Tier1 operators running around with dual lever action shotguns, so that's a plus.

The score chain system is awesome, offensive and defensive perks that you can decide to use depending on the situation, that carry over in death, and can help start your streak over again. To me they feel just right, not too weak, not too overpowered, just enough to tip the scale in a stalemate.

Anyway, I'm in love, and even if I do get Black Ops, the multiplayer probably won't hold me too long. It'll either be MoH or BC2. Though, I guess it's moot since I go on cruise in about a month anyway... Oh well.
