Razer Mechanical Keyboard

Just ran into this via Razer marketing. Would love to get hands on it to review.

Ooo will keep an eye on this one since am in the market for a new keyboard. Though that 129.00 price tag is a little painful considering Im not exactly the pro-gamer, but I do like the idea / features of said keyboard.

Decisions, decisions

Rigger if you do manage to get hands on with one will love to hear the review!

IBM'S "Clickity" keyboards that registered a distinctive click when typing still got for $70-$100 on eBay because programmers love them so much. I for one love the responsiveness of those kind of keys and this seems to be even better. I loved my steel-keys board, hate my G15, and I've already placed a pre-order for this. It's amazing how much a keyboard can make a difference in typing, the ones we use at the Department I'll register around 98wpm. At home on my steel-key, my personal best is 119wpm.

Question do those more expensive keyboards allow for more multiple key input at once?

Since I used to have problems back in the days with keyboards "locking up" at times when too many keys are inputted at once.

6?

*chokes on coffee.

Now some of my deaths in BFBC2 makes sense when I am trying to do more than three tasks at once. On my G15.

Is there any other keyboard worth anything that can handle more strokes than 6 at once?

A little history... 3 decades ago my high school system stuck some of us into this.. this.. typing class which was excruciating and boring. Here type a paragraph and you have an hour to do it. And stop ogling the girls in the next room on computers. (Condor 3.7 was the word processing software at the time if memory serves. So old now I am losing it.)

And those crappy IBM Typewriters with the ball ran out of buffer if you typed fast enough. And you had to sit and draw on a smoke while waiting for it to finish.

while we sat, bitched, moaned and complained about this.. purgatory and torture, we never even had any idea of this new thing called the internet which will really make this typing stuff important.

Hows them apples eh?
