Playstation Move

My wife was interested in the wii for it's ability to play sports like table tennis. Well it looks like we don't need a wii. A Playstation 3 will do just fine:

If you have or want a PS3 then the MOVE is a good choice. I have a Wii and an xbox and I really think the ability to lose those hand held items is the big deal which means for me that the Kinect for Xbox is going to be the one to watch.

It's a big deal for casual gamers, but those of us who like games you can never accomplish without a control. Racing games like Forza for the XBox are amazing, but have to have the controller for the very sensitive speed and turning controls. Our favorite shooters have so many controls for aiming, weapon switching, and vehicle control that the Kinect will never be able to accomplish.

When "Natal" was first announced it was going to be an add-on that effected every game made, but Kinect looks to be a simplified version of it, allowing for wii games with better graphics.

I did some more reading about the Move. Game Informer did a comparison of the Wii and Sony's Move. It's definitely more advanced than the Wii. The sensors are omni-directional. Meaning it not only knows the x and y position, it knows the direction the controller is pointing via the sensors inside of the controller. It sounds very interesting. So based on the knowing the angle of the controller combined with the position, I imagine you can make some pretty neat games for it. I'm anxious to see what the future holds for this system.

I'm a 43 year old man who doesn't want to jump up and down or hold my arms suspended in mid air for any length of time while gaming. Bottom line for me is I'd rather have a controller while gaming. All of the moving around games are wonderful for kids, but I'm primarily interested in the point and shoot features of the Move. That's what I'm focused on. All of the other stuff is ok my not my main interest. Even the fight game looks cool but you won't see me on that all night, know what I mean? Microsoft has plainly stated that Kinect is focused on the casual gamer. That means exactly that... casual. I'm more than a casual gamer who wants to play mainstream titles with a nice interface.

Everybody knows that the Wii is for kids. Xbox is aiming for the same audience (with their finger). Move titles will be more complex games than Kinect titles. This is not my opinion this is based on various articles I've read.

I have a message for xbox fans: If you have something to post that's informational about Kinect, post it! Show me some decent videos. I'd love to see one with a shooter. But even so, I'd rather have a controller than just pointing my finger. Show me something good! I would still be reluctant to re-purchase an xbox because I don't like paying twice to be online. Yea that's right, I wrote "re-purchase". I used to have an xbox 360. I think xbox "non-casual" fans themselves know in their hearts that Sony has out done Microsoft on this one.

How exactly would you play a game like Splinter Cell Conviction, without any controllers. No amount off arm waving, and bending over(X-Box) is going to get round these problems
