Once you folks have read all there is out there now, if you have any questions write them up and send them to me. They are open to contests and giveaways of some sort, and seemed genuinely pleased to work with us.

Crysis 2 is slotted to come out in about 6 months, so there may be some points they can't address, and I am complying with a request that I stick to their timeline for announcements and such.

I agree with everything you said on the single player for the most part. It's a mildly entertaining story with new and innovative features but for the most part its one that is passable without losing much. However the only reason I own this game is the multiplayer! I know that not everyone is much for multiplayer but thats what this game was made for. In development they barely touched on the single player portion while the multiplayer had loads of trailers and information released. Not only does this add to replayability but it makes the campaign look like garbage. He did an excellent job reviewing the game, but skipping on the multiplayer doesn't give a fair view of the game for those of us who do get involved with online gaming.

I do not intend this as a put down or offensive in anyway, the main point I'm trying to get across is that this game is worth taking a look at solely for the multiplayer aspect. If you're not big on online play, do not pick up this game. If you enjoy online play, at least rent it and give the different modes some testing, I find it to make the game worthy of owning.

Medal of Honor Multiplayer

EA has posted a new portion (http://www.medalofhonor.com/multiplayer) of their site with a section of Understanding the Game. Also in the modes...

EA has posted a new portion of their site with a section of Understanding the Game. Also in the modes section it says only two modes have been revealed with more to come, meaning combat mission, and team assault won't be the only two modes! Also it has been updated that there is now 24 weapons in the game.

Understanding the Game
Authenticity and respect for the soldier have always been core tenets of the Medal of Honor franchise. That has never been more true than it is today. This year's game, set in Afghanistan, pays homage to today's soldier. Several veterans – active and retired – have participated as consultants on this game. Some of the Tier 1 operators we've worked with have participated in a video series called "Tier 1 Interview Series" where they share their unique insights directly with you. To view them, click here. Working with these select Tier 1 operators has allowed us to create the most authentic experience possible.
Medal of Honor features a robust single-player experience where U.S. soldiers conduct operations in today's theatre of war, Afghanistan. In the multiplayer game, the same setting is carried over but now, the battles are two-sided. Multiplayer combat is a long-standing, common and popular feature of videogames. The dynamics of multiplayer require that teams assume the identities of combatants on both sides of the conflict. One team plays the good guys; the other plays the bad guys. In Medal of Honor multiplayer, gamers assume the roles of American forces and their insurgent enemies. Many popular videogames allow players to assume the identity of enemies including Nazis and terrorists.
We feel a deep sympathy and respect for the soldiers and people with family members killed or wounded in Afghanistan. From cave paintings, to the Iliad, to films like Saving Private Ryan and The Hurt Locker, every generation tells its battle stories in the prevailing format of the time. Medal of Honor is a soldier's story, told to us by Tier 1 Operators who fought in Afghanistan. This is their story.

How do you think players will react?
We expect it to be controversial. We expect that not everyone will be comfortable with this -- but we understand that multiplayer games require two sides to battle against each other in real time.
It's not about making gamers play as Insurgents so they can shoot Coalition soldiers, or vice versa. It is about creating a design model that correlates to the authenticity of the game.
This is to the same as World War II-inspired multiplayer shooters where players are used to playing as Nazis against Allied soldiers.
MOH multiplayer pits two evenly matched and balanced fighting forces against each other in environments based on real-life Afghanistan locations.
Our goal is to allow players to try to attain elite status, in whatever side they choose.

I am in not a good mood tonight.

I have a room in my home where I got some really old 1980's crap wired into it. I have or used to have a fridge (6.5 amps 1989 era) a heating and cooling unit (up to 15 amps) plus a old light fixture, and a washer and dryer.

All of that stuff goes into a box up above the utility room. or somehow the wires are sent to a bigger bus wire or several wires to the main fuse box off the service drop end of the Power Company line.

Over several weeks of diagnosing this darn house I have arrived at simple truths.

1- Whatever is powering the outlet dedicated to the heating and cooling control system is kaput. It needs to be replaced. The outlet, the wire to the outlet and all the way back to it's own dedicated fuse switch in the house wall box.

2- the light fixture in the utility room is turned off and the bulb removed. I intend to replace that because it is so old as to be out of code. With that in mind, I am eyeing every single ceiling light fixtures for replacement in bulk all at once.

3- There is or was a slow short that creates a ground feed loop that affects the home either through it's main copper grounding wire or not. I have not confirmed it yet because I have begun to read kilowatts off my meter every noon Saturday based on the day that the power company reads the thing.

Here is how I arrived at the diagnosis.

A Contractor cord powers the big fat fridge (Which will be replaced soon) off another part of the home where there has NEVER been a electrical issue.

Another contractor cord powers the heating and cooling system off a part of the home (Kitchen) with outlets that are protected by Ground Fault Circuit interrupters. If that outlet sniffs a short of like 5 mill-amps or whatever, click. No power; before the fuse box detects it.

The contractor cord is rated for something like 30 amps at 10 gauge wire and it is the biggest no shit cord I can find because I own a 12 kilowatt generator and use that to provide power to the home during the occasional ice storm.

We would have that entire section of the home quit working when the heating and cooling unit shorts off the old outlet and bring down everything connected to that half of the home.

So.

I am going to hire a different electrician and have that person rewire the biggest amp drawing loads and place them on dedicated feeds to the fuse box.

That means the old fuse box will have to be pulled and rewired or replaced outright and then wired to code. I am having mental visions of battleship grey piping running along the ceiling the length of the home with smaller metal shielded cables branching off and all of it painted white. Yay.

All the rest of the existing shit will be stripped from the home and today's outlets, shielding junction boxes etc etc etc will be installed to support the big stuff.

Now I have a headache because my old electrician is ineffective and stands about at 65 damn dollars a call telling me and my wife that nothing is bad. Since the outlets are replaced and that yada yada.

I am half tempted to bill this electrician 65 dollars a day for the last three weeks crawling under, through above and sitting in strange poses while deep in heavy thought (Now you understand my game handle.. I dont solve little problems, only big ones.)

Before I make the call, any of you spark heads out there wanna drop me a line here and tell me why I am running my heaviest two units off dedicated cords running along the floor and a room that is shut off at the fuse box for fear of a short in the ceiling.

Oh we have just completed a project this year to replace ALL of the electrical equipment and it was a monster of a expensive project that is all paid off cold cash. All of the equipment except the old fridge is functioning properly. The rest of the home is ok, but the light fixtures are under suspicion.

I went to a Server today I saw that there were 4 in and I thought, cool we get stats started so we join.

This medic asks if I wanted to stat pad I said no. It felt like a one on one game until I took time to look around and realized my three teammates to his two teammates were not present in the game world.

I left right then and there. But due to my mental slows, I did not to think to capture evidence. It did not happen in the ODG server thankfully.

The only conclusion is someone spent 4 copies of the game to fill a server past the 4 person limit to activate stats.

That is very disturbing to me.

Anyone else run into this?
