There is quite a few unemployeds going to gaming classes at the local college. I think it was Maya and something else that the course is based on to teach them how to make a 3D video game.

I learned camera movement, angles and how to make a sphere and paint it. And that was the limits of my math skills. I audited the course after three weeks when it became clear it was not to be a valid learning experience for me.

The state is providing some people with schooling to learn a new trade and if they graduate and stay at the job 4 years they are free and clear. Very tough to do when jobs are going away.

I feel the Military is probably one of the few areas outside of Government and Medical Fields where Employment and training is a good path to take. I just look at my fellow civilians and see obese, trash and lack of disclipine and tell you I feel ashamed of what they have to work with for the few who volunteer.

I have seen periods of unemployment in my life time and it is shaming, humiliating and somewhat... makes you leaner and more aware of what is REALLY important in your life, your family and which of your friends stay with you and which ones go away.
