New gear is coming out of soon, some was announced at E3 recently, while others, we have been aware of for some time. Get ready to drool, hide the wallet and start thinking of excuses to tell your wife why you did not make the car payment this month.
The new SteelSeries Siberia V2 Frost Blue Edition, is an updated version of the Siberia V2 we reviewed here a few months ago. Featuring everything that made the original good, this new Frost Blue Edition also features an on-board Sound Card, an Active Noise Cancelling Mic, and 16 frost blue LEDs providing illumination around each ear-cup.
Unlike the version we tested, the Frost Blue Edition will connect via USB, and runs approximately $119.99. Yes that is a bit pricier than some may be willing to spend, but as we have all come to find out, you can have it one of two ways when it comes to gaming gear: Cheap, or Durable, but not both.
Another item that SteelSeries is releasing is the Sensei [RAW] gaming mouse. The [RAW} is essentially the same as the Sensei, but does not feature the built in processor, on-board memory or LCD menu system. It comes in a rubberized or glossy finish vs metallic, but is every bit as much a Sensei as the full version.
The [RAW] comes in at an affordable $59.99, and features the same high quality construction as other products from this company. I use the standard Sensei in my daily computer and leisure work, and I found it to be an excellent piece of equipment.
Another company that is known for quality gear is Astro, who recently introduced their new A50 Wireless Gaming Headset. Coming in at a stiff $299.99 USD, the A 50s look like something out of a Sci Fi movie, and are compatible with the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, plus feature Dolby Digital 7.1 Sound, and a 12 hour battery life. Take a look at the trailer, featuring Krewella.
Other items are of course on the way, and as we learn of them, see them, or use them, we will let you know more. What is the gear you want? What are you looking forward to seeing more of? Sound off below!
