While we were at E3 2012 we looked to our friends at Sony Online Entertainment to get us into the demonstration/explanation of the new Planetside 2. Remarkably we have some friends who have been playing this game even after 9 years! Planetside 2 takes the whole franchise and makes it bigger, badder and brings the graphics up to 2012. The beta is due out soon and keys are already being pushed around but we captured a little gameplay footage from the floor of the E3 show recently and wanted to let you get a look.

If you’re into faction based large scale MMO in a free to play format then this game looks to deliver. You’ll be able to coordinate your troops in vehicle or close quarters combat with other factions as you look to wrest control from all who oppose you.
