We are excited to bring you news of another Kickstarter Campaign for the gaming Industry, Ground Branch. This one is looking very promising.

John Sonedecker 300x247 Introducing: BlackFoot Studios and Ground BranchGround Branch is the brainchild of John Sonedecker, of BlackFoot Studios. John is the former Lead Artist of Red Storm Entertainment, and one of the minds that has been behind the Ghost Recon Series, and a number of other titles. With BlackFoot Studios, he has worked on various U.S. Government projects, Red Orchestra 2, Rainbow Six: Lockdown, Ghost Recon 2 and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 1 and 2, among others. His story, is rather interesting, and I am only touching part of it here.

As players, gameplay will be deliberate, calculated, gritty and heavy. Without the consequence of death and loss there is no depth to the game. Loss will be personal and unavoidable.

BlackFoot Studios has until July 6th to raise the money, in order for the project to reach its goal. Various levels of contribution will net you extra goodies, with 15 dollars getting you a digital copy of the game, all the way up to signed Collector’s Editions complete with invitation to a launch party, mention in the game credits and various other goodies. Make sure to read them all.

All the details known for now are on BlackFoot Studios home page, as well as the page for Ground Branch, so be sure to head on over there and give them them a look. In the very near future, I will be sitting down with the creator for an interview, so I will be sure to bring you any new developments that crop up.

One special note that I have to mention is found on BlackFoot Studios page, under Company. It stated not only their dedication to realism, but also mentions that the studio is a supporter of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. We thank John Sonedecker and BlackFoot studios for the support of our Nation’s Armed Forces. More news to follow, so keep an eye on this one.
